Sault Hot Yoga Certified Teachers

Katey Delvecchio

Katey began practicing at Sault Hot Yoga Inc. in 2008, and over a very short time, developed a connection and love for the practice.  Over the past 3 years she has benefited in many ways through her yoga practice and is honored and energized at the thought of being able to share this with other students.  Through yoga, she continues to experience the rewards of a mental challenge that is worth each drop of sweat that falls onto the mat.  Making a mind body connection and finding clarity and strength through breath in every practice is what keeps Katey engaged.  She believes that teaching is an opportunity to experience yoga at a completely different level, and is eager to learn more and grow as a teacher.

Katey has completed Level 1 in Talum, Mexico with the Baptise Power Yoga Institute and has completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Lea.  She works full time and enjoys the simplicity of spending time cooking and relaxing with friends and family.

Liz Lacell

Liz began practicing yoga about 5 years ago. A simple curiosity turned into life-changing journey, and very early on she knew she wanted to share this new passion with others. Yoga brought about a new sense of emotional calm, more energy, and a mental and physical awareness.

Being a mother of 2 little girls is one of Liz's greatest joys. They are constant reminders to enjoy living in the present moment, and bring about new experiences every day. Most of Liz's free time is spent enjoying these precious girls, playing games, cuddling, or cooking and baking healthy treats for the family to share!

Liz completed her 200 hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Lea Jylha at Sault Hot Yoga. This was a step that has allowed her to continue on the path to share her love for yoga with others and inspire them to start their own journey, or become aware of the journey they have already begun!

Sarah Bonifero

Sarah’s introduction to yoga happened by chance in the summer of 2009, when she invited a friend to join the weekly “Community Drum Circle” she belonged to at Bellevue Park. They struck a deal in which it was agreed that he would come to the drum circle if Sarah would attend his weekly class “Yoga at the Park”. Since then, Sarah has devoted herself to studying and practicing yoga. Finding inspiration in nature where her interest in yoga began, she weaves the four elements into her classes. In that way, she invites students to be in harmony with nature which frees them to practice authentically from the heart. Her passion and purpose in sharing yoga is to guide others to discover their highest potential while having fun in the process.

Sarah completed the 200 hour teacher training at Sault Hot Yoga in June 2013 under Lea Jylha. In 2011, Sarah became a certified Rainbow Kids Yoga instructor, having attended a course in Toronto taught by Amanda McFadyen. Also in 2011, Sarah received certification in the Master/Teacher Level of Tibetan/Usui System of Natural Healing (Reiki).

Allana Plaunt

I first came to yoga when I was in my second semester of my first year of University. Dealing with the stresses of finals, and the ending of a 5 year relationship I was looking for calm, clarity and a deeper understanding of who I was and what I was supposed to be doing on this Earth. Yoga seemed the safest and most natural choice. It was yoga that helped me embrace the serenity in discomfort that is life. My first experience with yoga was Kundalini and I fell in love with it the moment I closed my eyes, opened my heart and sang “Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo” Something deep within arose in my soul as I felt the power of letting go and letting God. Kundalini opened my eyes to other styles of yoga, from Ashtanga to Power Vinyasa Flow in which I now teach. Through the years I have discovered the greatest way to share with others the wonders yoga has to offer and the best way to be the best Mom to my two young boys is through teaching the intricate balance between life-love and spirit. Constantly learning, discovery and sharing in the delicate yet penetrative insight into Self the mind-body-spirit connection allows as it unfolds to show each one of us just how brightly our light can shine. I now have a double degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies and two beautiful, gentle sweet little boys, achieved greatly on the skills and truths I learned and continue learning from practicing and now teaching the power of yoga.
